"Countryside Foliage" (Autumn Photos Near Garfield & Maysville, CO - October 2, 2007)
I spent the morning wandering about the canyon/corridor west of
Salida that leads to Monarch Pass.
Finding the pretty aspen grove in the adjacent
photos was the highlight of the fall foliage adventure.
A quiet dirt road with fall colors.
Willows near the West Arkansas River in Maysville.
Not the greatest pictures, but some fall scenery in there.
The Sawatch Mountains Nearby Autumn indeed comes very early to central Colorado and already the mountains have
been getting pounded by numerous snowstorms. While it is autumn down in the valley,
it is clearly winter up there! Above is the view of Mt. Princeton.
