Cloudy Day, Picture Of Road With Fall Colors On The Side (Click on the photo to see a larger size of it)
As I was driving towards the summit, the weather became increasingly dreary and gray, but I still managed to get some nice photos of the fall foliage. Pretty soon as I traveled up, it began to rain ... which became sleet ... which became snow near the summit! It was surreal: Just a few miles down the road I was enjoying the wonders of the fall and here I was amidst a significant snowstorm! This specific photo was taken while driving downhill (eastbound) on Chaffee County Road 306, inside Cottonwood Canyon. This fall foliage picture were taken by Steve Garufi in Buena Vista, Colorado.
