This morning I spent some time in the Monarch Pass region to photograph some of its current fall foliage. The mountain scenery near Poncha Springs (where I took these two photos) is very impressive. You can definitely notice some fall foliage happening below timberline on Mt. Ouray and Chipita Peak (top) and Mt. Shavano (bottom) respectively.

Mt. Aetna Heading up near Monarch Pass, I snapped this scenic shot of Mt. Aetna and Taylor Mountain that tower above. Many of the photos above were taken on the base of that colorful mountainside. ;)
