This morning I spent some time in the Monarch Pass region
to photograph some of its current fall foliage. The mountain scenery near Poncha Springs
(where I took these two photos) is very impressive. You can definitely notice some fall
foliage happening below timberline on Mt. Ouray and Chipita Peak (top) and Mt. Shavano (bottom) respectively. |

Heading up near Monarch Pass, I snapped this scenic shot
of Mt. Aetna and Taylor Mountain that tower above. Many of the photos above were taken on
the base of that colorful mountainside. ;) |
