(Photos Of Fall Leaves And Autumn Colors In Colorado - September 19, 2011)
Colorful Autumn Foliage - My Photos This afternoon was my first autumn photography excursion on the 2011 fall season. It is mid-September, and already
there is plenty of colorful fall foliage in the
Colorado Rocky Mountains.
Today I found a spot with
fall colors in the San Isabel National Forest, approximately 7-8 miles west of
Buena Vista, Colorado. Enjoy all of the photos and two videos at the bottom.
Autumn Leaves
Orange and green.
Beautiful orange aspen leaf.
Bright red on some parts of this Colorado aspen leaf.
A little tougher photographing a yellow leaf, as its so bright and lacking in contrast.
Another bright orange leaf.
My favorite, a red leaf.
Currently the fall foliage color
season is early and there isn't the stunning and large
fall scenes one might expect.
Instead, I focused on individual leaves and clusters of color.
Taking pictures of fall colors can be frustrating.
When focusing in, my camera can focus on some of the leaves, but not others.
This can be seen in the two adjacent photos. Still, I think there's enough color for an autumn lover to appreciate. :)
